Food establishments may also benefit from a keyboard that can be easily cleaned in the case of accidental food spills or to prevent transference of germs or bacteria to food and to customers.

As previously mentioned the keyboard and optional mouse are designed to be waterproof and can be easily cleaned. Spills or disinfecting do not effect the integrity of the product, as reviewers stated, seeming to work normally even after contact with liquids. The keyboard is essentially the same average price as other keyboards without the SpillSeal. In the corded versions, the USB cords are provided and the keyboard is compatible with most modern operating systems.

A mouse, with the same SpillSeal technology has also been created. Therefore, individuals who are interested in the advantages of the SpillSeal keyboard can enjoy the same with a mouse. It is likely that work environments that constantly replace their computer keyboards and mice due to damage from liquids, dust, dirt or grease, can expect to save a significant amount annual equipment replacement costs.

Work environments with a large amount of mess or exposure to germs would benefit the most from the purchase of the Unotron SpillSeal keyboard. Because the keyboard is priced along the same lines as most other keyboards, companies who had to invest in additional rubber or silicone covers for keyboard protection, will save in cost by only purchasing one device with the same result. The majority of reviews available about the use of these products came from work environments that must remain germ free. One such work environment, a surgical center, replaced all of their work station keyboards and mice with the Unotron SpillSeal versions. Because there were some noted issues with key sensitivity, this keyboard is not recommended for work environments or homes that would not be able to take full advantage of the waterproof technology.
