What is Transpond?

Transpond is an online service allowing users to create their own viral widgets and applications without having to know any development languages. It’s a great way to create buzz about your product or service without having to spend a tremendous amount of money hiring a developer to create the application for you. There are sample widgets and apps created for TV.com and CBS.com to display the work the staff can do.

How to Use Transpond

Transpond is easy to use. Choosing the “Create an App in Three Easy Steps” option will produce a screen allowing you to choose between an RSS feed, YouTube channel, or Media of the Day. Select the option you want, and enter the appropriate URL or other information. From here, a screen will load allowing you to enter content, and choose which app or widget you want to create. You’ll be able to see the app as you create it. You’ll also be given the option to style the app with colors and content before taking the steps to publish the app.

Publishing the app requires an account with Transpond. To sign up with an account, provide an email address, a password, and a username. The account is free. Once you choose a method to publish the app, you’ll need to follow the on screen instructions, as there are different processes for each choice.

Transpond’s Pricing

Transpond can also make apps for you, if the app or widget you need cannot be created with the interface. Apps Transpond plans to add to the creation interface include:

  • Fan Badges
  • Deal or News of the Day
  • Quizzes
  • Gifting
  • Polls
  • Games
  • Top 5 Favorites

There is a reseller version of Transpond, available for those who want to customize it and offer it as a service. Pricing is free for apps with advertising or qualified non-profit organizations. Per app pricing is anywhere from $50 to $200 per month. It even includes the ability to create mobile apps, too.
