Getting Started with Windows Mail

If you need to access e-mail from any computer that offers Internet Access (perhaps because you travel a lot), and you need a little more than what Windows Mail offers, try Windows Live Mail. As you can see here, not only can you access your e-mail using a familiar interface, but you can add multiple email accounts, including a Hotmail account, and have access to other Live services like Live Contacts, Live Messenger, RSS feeds, newsgroups, and more. Windows Live Mail also offers the following:

* Spam and virus filters that are applied to all Windows Live e-mail accounts you configure.

* Warnings for potentially dangerous email including those phishing for information or offering a known scam.

* Easily accessible Delete and Block options.

* A familiar Windows Mail and Outlook Express interface. No learning curve required.

* The ability to add any email account including Gmail and Yahoo! premium.

* Access to your Windows Live Messenger contacts and your Windows Live Spaces blog.

* The ability to add e-mail accounts and have an Inbox for each one. There’s also a Quick Mail features that allows you to access unread email from every configured account.

2. Click Get it Free.

4. Windows Mail will open automatically.

5. Follow the prompts to log in and configure your email accounts.
