With the Space Age font, you can see what sans serif fonts might look like in the future. Each letter is designed with a surprisingly simple appearance, but they come together to create a futuristic feel. At first glance, the upper and lower case letters look identical, but there are subtle differences between the two. The font is complete, with numerals and most symbols. However, many of the symbols are less easy to read — it may be best to use this typeface for headlines, rather than setting longer blocks of text.

While Star Jedi isn’t exactly the font used in the Star Wars movies, it’s very close. As a free font not actually offered by anyone connected to the films, this font cannot legally be an exact replica. However, it is very similar and can provide the right atmosphere for your sci fi desktop publishing project. The typeface does have both upper and lower case numbers, as well as numerals and some symbols, but it is not a complete font and may not be practical to use for particularly complicated pieces of text.

You can add a hint of NASA to any project with Nasalization , a font that mimics the font used by that government agency for its logo and other purposes. The font is complete, even including accented letters and could be used to set just about any kind of text. While it is fairly easy to read, at least compared to most decorative fonts, it may be a little harder to read if used for long passages.

The thin characters of the Alien League font could almost be considered a normal sans serif font, at least until you look closely at the upper case ‘I’ and the lower case ‘a.’ These letters add just a touch of the unknown to the font. This typeface is not complete, missing some symbols and all accented letters. However, it could be used for a setting a wide variety of projects even without those missing characters.
