In the GeoBats dingbat font, you’ll find the shapes of a long list of different geographical areas: there are U.S. states, U.S. regions, Canadian provinces, many (but not all) countries and even continents. Each shape is black, making it not suited for using as a map, but you can change the color just as you might change the color of text set in any font. This dingbat font makes use of the full character set: you’ll likely need to take a look at the character map to navigate which state you want to place.

The Passarela dingbat typeface is made up of silhouettes of men and women, which you can easily place in your projects. In addition to simple silhouettes, the font also includes outlines corresponding to each individual character. The images vary between a girl carrying a bag, a man walking and even a few couples standing together. While the samples appear fairly sizable, you can change the size of these images just by changing the font size — you could even use one of these silhouettes to punctuate a sentence.

All you have to do is run a search for a font with the type of imagery you need, download it and install it as you would any other font. To make use of dingbats, you highlight text and select the dingbat font as the typeface — however, it can come in handy to keep a character map open so that you can easily find the exact picture you want without having to go through every letter in the alphabet.
