Are You Ready For More Boldness?

The Blackberry Bold 9030 is supposed to inherit the same rich and royal looks as its predecessor the Blackberry Bold 9000 which has been very popular, creating one of RIM’s biggest sellers of all time. I personally think that it was the best Blackberry phone ever produced by RIM. So there must be a lot of expectations for the Bold 9030.

As far as I know the Bold 9030 will have the same dimensions and same screen size as that of Bold 9000. I was not able to get the exact weight of the device, but it should be of same mass as its predecessor. The backlit QWERTY keyboard and trackball has become a symbol of Blackberry phones now and the Bold 9030 is no exception. All the keys are well placed with a lot of space between them allowing the user to type comfortably.

The Bold 9030 will also operate via quad-band GSM and dual-band CDMA, which is great news for business users who may travel and need to use both frequencies at the same time. What makes it a global device however is its great connectivity as this phone has 3G and is compatible with GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, CSD, taking it one step forward than the best techno devices we see today.

Other connectivity options include an in-built Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and mini USB. The phone also supports memory expansion via microSD, microSDHC and Transflash, while the phone also has an in-built GPS receiver that supports Geo tagging to guide your way around the world.

As I told you before this device comes with a lot of modifications but basically it has almost the same features as you have already seen with the Bold 9000. This phone comes with a 2 mega-pixel camera equipped with LED flash (too bad that RIM fails to provide a xenon flash once again) which is the exact same camera we encounter on the Bold 9000. The 1500 mAh Lithium-Ion battery is also the same battery type seen on the original Blackberry Bold. Thankfully its a great battery that refuses to die on you for days.

Based on those specs alone its easy to see even from this quick first look that the Blackberry Bold 9030 will be another RIM force to be reckoned with. RIM is expected to release the Blackberry Bold 9030 in March, lets just hope the boldness of this device lives up to the original.
