Go To Meeting Video Conference Software
Video conferencing has become very important to companies across the world. These are necessary to businesses that have locations or representatives across the country or world.
Picking a video conference software program for your company, however, can be tricky. If you’re a smaller business, you don’t want to pay for features that you don’t need. If you’re a larger business, you need a program where many employees can participate in the call.
Most people are familiar with GoToMeeting. It’s fairly easy to use, and the cost is not prohibitive to small businesses ($49 per month or $468 per year). Both Mac and Windows users can use GoToMeeting.
WebEx and Cisco TelePresence Suite
Another inexpensive choice is Microsoft Live Meeting 2007 ($4.58 per month for five people and $15.25 per month over five users). This version definitely has its advantages over past versions. The application is now more user friendly, but it still requires a very large download.
For slightly larger businesses, WebEx Meeting Center is worth its heftier price ($375 per month up to five users and an additional $75 per user over five). You can control your meetings with the Power Panels. Content like videos or presentations will be given preference based on importance.
If you’re in the market to gather together large sections of your company often, Cisco TelePresence Suite is the best. You should only look into this option, however, if you own a large company. At over $300,000, it’s not for small- or medium-sized businesses. But, if you want to speak to a client like they are in the same room with you, there is no other choice.
For anyone who is interested in connecting with others and being able to have a face-to-face meeting, a Web cam is a must. You can use the one that comes with your computer, but your images may be grainy. For laptop users, an external Web cam will have to be bought.
