It is just the right size and folds easily into any pocket size be it formal or casual wear. Let us start off this Nokia Mural 6750 review by taking a deeper look at the design.

Design (5 out of 5)

The Nokia Mural 6750 comes in Gunmetal with cover illumination in six colors namely blue, green, red, orange, maroon and pink. The Nokia Mural 6750 is of flip design with the front case face comprising of an OLED screen that displays the clock and the battery meter. Also on the front panel are the hardware multimedia keys. Opening the flip there is the number pad on the bottom half with the softkey panel just above it.

The sofkey panel houses the call end and call begin buttons. Above the these keys there is the camera key, the music access key and the AT&T service key and finally the two softkeys for menu options and exit.

The top half of the flip houses the 2.2 inch TFT 240 x 320 pixel display and the ear piece.

The right side of the phone has the microUSB socket while the left has the volume keys and the 2.5mm audio jack. The back of the Nokia Mural 6750 is reserved for the 2MP camera and the battery compartment cover.

This phone comes in dimensions measuring 97.3 x 47 x 16.3 mm and weighing in at 110g. There is also a speaker phone and a microSD card slot which supports up to 32GB of data.

User Interface (4 out of 5)

The user interface of the Nokia Mural 6750 is based on the Symbian OS Series 40 version 6. This may not be as feature rich as Symbian Series 60 but is elegant and easy to use. It has a home screen with shortcut menus to access your favorite applications which can be customized by the user. The home screen also allows for alerts and notification of event and organizer entries. The default home screen however; is a little too empty, though this is great for showcasing great wallpapers and themes.

Accessing applications is easy, as pressing on the home key or through the options softkey, brings up the menu, which has icons for every application and utility installed on the Nokia Mural 6750.

The Nokia Mural 6750 supports voice commands such as voice dialing and memo recording. Firmware can be updated over the air. The phone supports customizable themes, wallpaper and profiles too.

Music and videos can be copied onto the Nokia Mural 6750 using Ovi Suite. Playback of music is first nature to this phone as it has dedicated multimedia controls to handle playback and stopping of music files and allows for skipping back and forth between songs.Taking photos on this phone is easy as there is a dedicated button on the softkey panel for easy access.

Features (2 out of 5)

The Nokia Mural 6750 comes with two displays. The secondary one being a 1.36 inch 128x160 pixels resolution screen. The primary display is larger and supports 16M colors. There is internal storage memory of up to 70MB and external memory of up to 32GB through the microSD.

The Nokia Mural 6750 supports GPRS, EDGE both of class 10 and up to 236Kbps. There is 3G on board the Nokia Mural 6750 at 3.6Mbps but unfortunately there is no WLAN. Bluetooth 2.0 and USB support is available on the Nokia Mural 6750.

There is a 2MP camera on the Nokia Mural 6750 which has a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. The camera supports video recording of up to 15fps. With the Nokia Mural 6750 you are able to browse the Internet using the built-in WAP 2.0/ HTML browser.

Java is supported on this device and it comes with support for installing games and third party applications. As far as multimedia goes, there is a MP3/WAV/eAAC+ music player and a MP4/H.263/H.264 video player that you can listen to over the headphones or using the external speakers.

Performance (3 out of 5)

The Nokia Mural 6750 has been stripped bare almost to the bone. It does not boast high end features like many other Nokia phones would. The Nokia Mural 6750 has poor picture quality and makes it worse by not having a photo and video editor. In poor lighting conditions, the lack of an LED flash shows with its inability to compensate on the ambient light. The general performance is good on the preinstalled apps but with some third party apps the Nokia Mural 6750 begins to show signs of strain.

One good thing about the Nokia Mural 6750 is the music playback quality is awesome, and that goes for the call quality too.The sound is clear and does a great job of cutting out background noise. The network reception is pretty good also and I do not expect much in terms of dropped calls.

With estimated battery talk time of 4 hours, the Nokia Mural 6750 would be best used with a spare battery at hand especially with extended use of the 3G features which happens to be fast and offers good connectivity. Overall, I would give this phone a performance of three out of five.

Verdict (4 out of 5)

All in all the Nokia Mural 6750 is a good phone especially for a user on a tight budget or someone looking for basic functions with an occasional desire to listen to some soothing music. The phone has a great design and somewhat reminds you of the Motorolla Razr designs but with a better color palette. You can check out a whole lot of other Nokia phones here and compare them with the Nokia Mural 6750.
