Nokia is the world’s largest mobile phone manufacturer. It has been losing market share since the iPhone and Android phones jumped into the game, but it still rules the budget smartphone category. Here’s a list of the top 10 Nokia smartphones. Most of them run on the Symbian S60 OS and the S60 Touch Edition but some also run on the newer Maemo/Meego and Symbian ^3 platforms.

With the announcement that Nokia will partner with Microsoft and release new phones running the Windows Phone 7 platform we may see the company battle back in the smartphone market. For now these are their finest offerings and there are options to suit any budget.

The Nokia N8 is the ultimate Nokia smartphone. It runs on the Symbian ^3 OS. It has excellent hardware: a 3.5 inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 360 x 640 pixels, an ARM 11 680 MHz processor, and 256 MB RAM. It has an excellent 12 MP camera with autofocus and Xenon flash. It can shoot video at 720p resolution at 25 FPS.
