The Samsung Galaxy Gio is a touch-screen smartphone belonging to the Galaxy family. This small and stylish handset runs on Android OS version 2.2 and offers a similar experience to the Samsung Galaxy S, but with a much smaller price tag. The Samsung Galaxy Gio flaunts a large 3.2-inch high quality HVGA-TFT display, that gives a fine resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, and ensures a brilliantly clear picture with 16 million colors on the touch-screen of this stylish device. The phone’s wide touch-screen also includes the proximity sensor for auto-off and accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, an embedded TouchWiz v3.0 user-interface, and multi-touch zoom.
Galaxy Gio weighs around 102 grams and is 57.5mm wide, 110.5 long and 12.15mm thick. Available in only black, Gio boasts special features like the Swype text input method and the ThinkFree application.

The internal memory can also be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD card.

With an amazing 3.2 inch TFT touch screen, 800MHz processor, Android 2.2, 3MP camera, 3G, Wi-Fi, the smartphone is a complete entertainment package. However, Samsung Galaxy Gio’s processor could easily have been 1GHz and the OS Android 2.4, but overall Samsung has given users all the reasons to enjoy this trendy smartphone.
