The LG Optimus M also comes with the following standard features: speaker phone, alarm clock, vibrate alert, stop watch, calculator, voicemail, text messaging, calendar and memo. This phone comes with an unlimited rate plan that costs $50 per month. The phone originally cost $229 but there is an ongoing promotion (as of January 31, 2011) that reduces the price to $149 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a $30 online instant discount. Huawei Ascend

The Huawei Ascend is MetroPCS’ other Android phone. It uses the 2.1 Android operating system and has an MP3 player with music from MetroSTUDIO. It also has a 3.5-inch screen, 256 MB internal memory, Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camcorder and camera. Other features of the phone include speaker phone, alarm clock, stop watch, voicemail, text messaging, calendar, memo, Bluetooth capability, picture messaging, voice commands, voice as ringtones, memory card slot, as well as email and instant messenger capabilities. It also comes with other capabilities like premium directory assistance, Loopt and MetroBackup.

The Huawei Ascend usually retails at $129 but there is an ongoing (as of January 31, 2011) promotion that reduces the price significantly. You can get the phone now with free shipping for $99 after a $50 instant online discount and a $30 mail-in rebate. A $50 per month unlimited everything service plan is needed to go with this phone.
