Page content

If you want to play some text-based undead action then this game is a great option. Any fan of the text based RPG’s of yore or more modern iPhone versions like iVampire, then Undead: Vampire, Werewolf, Overlord will be the game for you. If however, you are looking for a visually stunning experience, then this is probably not for you. Though to be honest, if what you want is a mental challenge, and you are not hung up on graphics, then even a hardcore gamer can enjoy this title. Undead: Vampire, Werewolf, Overlord will be enough to keep your mind working and your multi-tasking skills working hard.

Premise (5 out of 5)

You begin this game by busting an immortal out of jail. As a reward, you are given the gift of immortality. You have to choose between the type of immortal that you want to be. The best way to choose is by the bonus that you will get. Of course, if you really have you heart set on a specific type, just go for it. Your choices of immortals are:

* Vampire (bonus on quests)

* Werewolf (bonus when battling)

* Overlord (bonus on buying land)

Once you get past this basic introduction, you are pretty much free to do as you please.

Quests (3 out of 5)

Quests begin fairly simply. You need to have certain items in order to complete them, as well as various levels of health and other attributes. You can fail a quest, but it is relatively rare. Some quests are one time only, while other can be done over and over again. Repeating quests can help you to gain experience.

Rampage (4 out of 5)

This is your combat mode. You can earn some serious bennies by defeating opponents. Just be aware that you will lose money if you lose the battle.

Leveling (3 out of 5)

As with most RPG’s, leveling is a factor of how much experience you earn. Use quests and combat wisely to get higher levels.

Health (2 out of 5)

You can gain health in one of two ways. The least expensive way is to simply wait it out with time because you will regain health incrementally, even if you are not using the app. A fast and more costly option is to trade your hard-earned cash to the dark lord for healing. Be aware that this can get seriously expensive. Use it sparingly.

Graphics (5 out of 5)

As a text-based RPG, there are no graphics to speak of in this game. However, since the game is obviously slanted more towards strategy and the mental capacity it takes to balance all of your needs, most players won’t really care. If however, you are too spoiled by next generation systems to worry about gameplay, then you should pass it on by.

Conclusion

All in all, Undead: Vampire, Werewolf, Overlord is a solid game experience, but you will enjoy it more if you dive in head first. Some patience is required to make headway, but seeing as you can turn off the app to heal it is well worth your time. Give this free game a shot.
