Preview of the HTC Desire HD
HTC Desire HD Specifications and Preview
HTC was one of the first backers of the Android movement which has reshaped the smartphone landscape across the world. The first Android handset was the HTC Dream. After that, HTC has delivered scores of other smartphones. Android has also helped HTC strengthen its own brand and it is now known as one of the most innovative smartphone manufacturers.
The last few HTC Android releases like the HTC Evo 4G and the HTC Desire have been superseded by the Samsung Galaxy S and the Motorola Droid X. However, HTC’s Sense UI is still considered to be the best custom UI shell for Android. HTC recently announced the new HTC Desire HD which is loaded with some excellent hardware specs. It will be one of the best Android smartphones and should be available soon.
The HTC Desire HD will be a revamped version of the HTC Desire with a 4.3 inch AMOLED display with a capacitive touchscreen and a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It will be much bigger than the Desire, but will have a more stylish design. It will resemble the HTC Evo 4G in terms of dimensions. Almost all high end smartphones are now blurring the line between tablets and smartphones. The HTC Evo 4G, Droid X and the Dell Streak all have 4-5 inch screens. Below the display, there are the 4 usual touch sensitive buttons - Home, Menu, Back and Search.

It has internal storage of 4 GB and supports microSD cards up to 32 GB. It will run the latest version of the Android OS - Android 2.2 Froyo with the HTC Sense UI. It will get an upgrade to Android 3.0 Gingerbread when it releases.
The HTC Desire HD will come with an 8 MP camera with an image capture resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. The camera also has autofocus and LED flash as well as features like geotagging and face detection. It can also record 720p video at 30 FPS. It will also have an FM radio with RDS. It supports MP4, H.263, H.264 and WMV video playback.
The HTC Desire HD will have the best connectivity options; it will offer GPRS, EDGE, 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0 connectivity. It also has GPS with A-GPS and comes with the standard Android web browser and Android Market for apps and games. It also offers social network integration in the UI.
