Introduction

The Phonebook 2.0, developed by Voxmobili, is an excellent alternative to synchronizing your contacts from your device to the area of your choice. This synchronization tool is an Android download and is a great concept designed to deal with the many non-compatibility issues that many phones have when transferring contacts. Often error messages pop up during a contacts transfer using the normal software that came with the device. The errors exist because the type of operating system being used is not compatible or because the software is an older version and is no longer supported. Using the Phonebook 2.0 will alleviate these compatibility issues for good and will allow the user to transfer contacts swiftly without interruption. The application is easy to use and it is easy to maintain the contacts once they have been synced.

Design (4 out of 5)

The design of the interface for the Phonebook 2.0 allows the user to easily see what is going on with the transfers and allows the user to easily remove or add contacts as needed. Not only is the design of the Phonebook 2.0 app able to show the contacts in a simpler and more condensed fashion, but it is also able to display the SMS messages, call logs and emails in the same fashion. The application also allows the user to arrange the contacts by photos, birthdays and calendar appointments.

User Interface (3 out of 5)

The user interface of the Phonebook 2.0 allows the user to easily back-up and restore contacts by way of the photos of each contact. However, there is one downside of having the ability to arrange by photos. This feature takes up a lot of room on the device, therefore, it is inevitable that this feature will lag every once in a while because of the time it takes to load up the images.

Features (5 out of 5)

The Phonebook 2.0 Android application, allows the user to see when contacts are online or offline. It also allows the user to see all the social network settings of contacts that are stored in the phone at once, simply by scrolling through their phonebook. This simple application is so popular that it is compatible with, not only Android phones, but mostly all other phones as well.

Performance (3 out of 5)

As can be expected with an application that has so many functions and controls so many features of all the social networking sites, there are times when the app slows down. Sometimes, it even freezes for a few seconds. This is normal and can happen with any application that is pushing out a lot of information over a short period of time.

The Verdict (4 out of 5)

The rating that I give the Phonebook 2.0 application is a 4 out of 5 stars only because of how it freezes periodically. The features and easy to use back up feature and social networking features are what earned this application such high numbers. The user friendly interface also contributed to the high score. Overall, this is a great method to synchronize your contacts when other methods become too complicated or too irritating.
