Controlling the World's Population Through Accessible Human Resources and Education

How Can Easily Accessible Human Resources Help to Control the World’s Population?: Introduction

Many environmental experts already believe that the Earth is at its carrying capacity for humans. Issues such as global warming are a direct result of the Earth’s booming human population. The loss of biodiversity is making essential natural resources harder to come by thus limiting the amount of food, medicine and oil we have. We will not be able to sustain the humans on Earth right now with the resources that are left without doing irreversible damage to the Earth that will lead to the demise of humans. Making human resources more accessible can help to save the Earth as well as the human population.

How Can Easily Accessible Human Resources Help to Control the World’s Population?:Types of Education

Population control is a necessary, but difficult matter. Many believe that if human resources were more easily available that it would be easier to control the world’s population. Human resources such as general education and reproductive education have the potential of being the catalysts in population control. Many of the underdeveloped countries have large populations that are growing larger and larger every year. Sociologists believe that if we took the time to teach these countries about reproduction that the birth rates would slow. Statistical evidence also suggests that countries where education is easier to obtain have lower populations.

How Can Easily Accessible Human Resources Help to Control the World’s Population?: Education Evidence

According to environmental and sociological research those who have a college education desire to have fewer children. Some speculate that a woman with more education can get a better job. In turn, she is less likely to want many children because she will have a career in which she will not want to leave to raise many children. Those who finish four years of college are also far less likely to get married before they are in their upper twenties to early thirties thus resulting in having children later in life. When couples decide to have children later in life they are unlikely to have more than one or two.

How Can Easily Accessible Human Resources Help to Control the World’s Population?: How Exactly Do We Make Education and Human Resources More Accessible?

So how can we make human resources more accessible to developing countries? There is no easy way to do this. Many developing countries have many children because it is culturally acceptable. We can’t just expect them to change their cultures in the name of controlling population, but we can offer them better education and reproductive education. Evidence supports the theory that better education results in better population control. For example, in the United States, where education is much easier to obtain, the population is relatively stable. In countries like India, where education is harder to obtain for most, the population is out of control.

The evidence is there when it comes to how readily accessible human resources can help to control the human population. Making these human resources available to everyone in the world will not be easy. It will cost billions of dollars and will require many cultures to make changes to their ways.
