The Earth’s molten center core has incredibly high temperatures. This typically involves heating water which can in turn be transformed into mechanical and electrical energy. Homes can also utilized geothermal energy for heating. When the home is near a hot area found undeground, pipes can transfer heat energy into the home. In other areas where this isn’t possible, there are also geothermal energy applications that help homes stay cool by using a heat pump to transfer heat energy back into the cooler ground.
