At Trader Joe’s the popcorn comes packaged pre-popped and is as easy to eat and serve as potato chips. At less than two dollars a bag it’s also a very affordable snack to keep around the house.
BEARITOS Organic Microwave Popcorn
If you’d rather make your popcorn at home you can try Bearitos organic popcorn. It comes in a variety of styles like no oil and no salt or lightly salted. Like traditional microwave popcorns you make this popcorn by following the directions and listening for the popping to slow down. I found that this no oil organic popcorn can tend to burn easier when left unattended in the microwave so stay nearby and be prepared to remove the bag when the popping slows to about 2 to 3 pops a second. For around three dollars a box it’s priced just the same as most other microwave popcorns without all the same chemicals and additives.

I was only able to find this popcorn online so unless you can find a retailer near you consider ordering a few other things from the site or shopping around for something closer to home. Priced at about three dollars for twenty ounces you’ll definitely be saving some money by popping at home but having to pay the shipping cost may not be worth it.
