To apply for the program, students must fill out a completed application. They must also submit a non-refundable $40 application fee, official sealed transcripts from all previously attended colleges, including any graduate degree or completed coursework, two letters of recommendation, their resume, and a financial aid application. These documents must be mailed to the Online Admission Processing Center in Maitland, Florida.

The tuition for the MS Emergency Management courses is $575 per credit hour. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. The total cost of the tuition will depend upon the transfer credits that students have earned. If they do not have any transfer credits, then the total cost of the tuition would be $10,350.00.

University of Phoenix

University of Phoenix offers a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration with a concentration in Emergency Management. This course was designed for emergency personnel who wish to expand their knowledge and skills related to emergency management, managing emergency response operations, and disaster preparedness.

Some of the courses offered include Introduction to Health and Disease, Health Care Management, and Health Care Quality Management and Outcomes Analysis. Students must take General Education and Elective courses in order to satisfy the 120 (124 for Kansas) semester-credit minimum for this degree.

To apply for the program, students must have earned a high school diploma, GED, California High School Proficiency Examination certificate, or a foreign secondary school equivalent. Students must also be employed or have access to an organizational environment that allows them to apply the skills learned in the university’s courses. They must be a citizen, permanent resident, or carry a valid visa.
