Apple certification Program

Apple certification is obtained by undergoing programmes made by Apple Inc. to expand knowledge on Apple products. The programmes are supposed to train technicians to be fluent in the Macintosh software, system administrators and for technical support. The certification programmes can be taken at parametric exam centers or at Apple Authorized Training Centers.

Usually, before anyone decides to take the Apple certification, they all begin as a general Mac user that has a knack for fixing Macs by you that does not jeopardize the warranty. But sometimes, you cannot get further if you not undergo some certification programme that upgrades your knowledge on Macs. Each operating system of Apple products requires a certificate and a test usually cost about USD 200 for about 90 minutes where you can get your results almost immediately.

There are a few types of certification programmes; Server Administration Certification, Hardware Repair Certification, Apple Authorized Service Provider, Apple Certified Support Professional, Apple Certified Technical Coordinator, Apple Certified Systems Administrator, Apple Certified Media Administrator and Apple Certified Macintosh Technician.

For the Server Administration Certification, it has a few levels. The first level is known as the Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC) where you sit for a Server Essential exam. The next level of the certification is the Apple Certified Systems Administrator (ACSA) that consists of four exams which you will have to pass. Another level is the Apple Certified Media Administrator (ACMA) which is also the final level. Related exam: 9L0-062

Onto the Hardware Repair Certification, the basic certification is the Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) that basically allows you to do warranty repairs on Apple product. What you need would be skills such as hardware repair and software troubleshooting. There would be two exams that a candidate will have to undergo and pass. Related exam: 9L0-625

For the Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP), a candidate must have a basic knowledge on Mac OS and troubleshooting where they will sit for one exam. As for the Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC), you will have to sit for two exams that require deeper knowledge of the Mac OS. To obtain the Apple Certified Systems Administrator (ACSA), one must have even deeper technical knowledge of the Mac OS and you will have to sit for four exams. Related exam: 9L0-622

The following certifications are for candidates that need a high level skill in the Apple products and they are known as Pro Application Users. These users have some great opportunities in the future for working in some large organizations. These users can easily get good jobs with high pay. Moreover, there is a great chance for the success and growth of their careers because they learn a lot from these tests and only those users can be succeeded in these tests that are succeeded to get a tremendous knowledge about the apple products.

The level one Apple Certified Pro will have to pass an exam from ten options. The level two Apple Certified Pro will have to pass two exams is the programme called Final Cut Pro 7 while the Final Cut Apple Certified Master will have to pass four exams where Final Cut Pro 7 is not an option and they can choose three more types of exams from six options. To obtain the Logic Studio Master Pro certification, candidates will have to sit for two exams while for the Xsan 2 Administrator certification, candidates will have to pass one exam. To be an Apple Certified Media Administrator, a candidate will have to sit for 4 exams where three are non optional exams, while they have to choose one more exam out of four available options.
