Radiology Examination and Exam Study Guides

  • The Radiology Coding Certification Board (RCCB) is an exam intended for those wanting to be a radiology certified coder (RCC). Those who are certified RCCs are seen as professionals in the field of radiology. Recertification is every four years.

  • 20% - International Classification of Diseases-9th Edition (ICD-9)
  • 50% - Current Procedural Terminology (CPT)

  • The Radiology Business Management Association (RBMA) offers an exam study guide on CD with six to seven hours of educational content (e.g., codes, an overview of radiology terminology, anatomy and physiology), which can help prepare for the RBMA Radiology Coding Exam. This review course on s CD costs $300 for RBMA Members and $370 for non-members. In addition, RBMA has available for a cost books and publications, too.

“Radiologic technologists are the medical personnel who perform diagnostic imaging examinations and administer radiation therapy treatments. “Employment of radiologic technologists is expected to increase by about 15 percent from 2006 to 2016. More than 60 percent of all jobs were in hospitals. In 2007, 40 states required licensure for practicing radiologic technologists and technicians.
