A certificate will show that you have completed study and know how to properly market your client and/or their product. Online Media Certification Programs
Mediabistro offers an online media certification program to aspiring PR pros. The program offers a certification to those who complete four required courses, one self-paced course, and one elective course within a year. The required course are the following:

- Advanced Public Relations
- Introduction to Social Media
- New Media: 6-Session Self-Paced Course
The elective course can be chosen from Blogging, Brand Yourself, or Brand Writing. The cost for this program is around $1,500. There are two ways you can enroll. You can enroll for each class separately, or you can enroll in the full program for a forty percent savings. Upon finishing the program, you will receive a letter of completion and a certificate for display.
Market Motive also offers an online media certification. Their program is more geared to online PR learning. They offer SEO courses, mobile marketing courses, email marketing courses, and social media marketing courses. When you complete the requirements for your certification, you will be able to print your certificate from a printer. The cost for the online media certification at Market Motive is $799 and includes access to 24/7 streaming video tutorials and a full year of access to all courses purchased.
New York University-School of Continuing and Professional Studies
The NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies offers a certificate in digital media marketing. This certificate can be earnd in one semester, or you can take a few semesters to complete it. You will be required to complete five courses to finish the program. Most of the courses cost around $750 to $785 with a few courses that are in the $400 price range. Some examples of courses are a Internet Market Research, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Internet Copywriting.
