Download Templates for Microsoft Word 2010

The easiest way to download templates is directly through Microsoft Word 2010. Open Word and click on File and New. In the search field on the right side of the screen type banner and press enter.

A list of banner templates will open below. Click one time on a template you like and you will notice it appears on the right side of the screen. If you like this template you can click Download below the template. After you click the Download button, the template is automatically downloaded and will open up in Microsoft Word. If you don’t like the template you clicked on then simply click on another one until you find the one you like. These templates are for Microsoft 2003 up to Microsoft 2010.

Download Banner from Microsoft Website

Navigate to Microsoft.com to download the Office templates. You will see a search box at the top of the screen. Type banner templates in this search box and click on the magnifying glass. The first link on the search results page will be BannersTemplatesMicrosoft Office. Click on this link. You will see a list of banners that are available to download. If you hover your mouse over a banner it will enlarge it. If you click on the banner one time it will bring up the banner itself. If you want to see the banner in a larger view click view larger in the bottom right corner of the banner. When you are finished viewing click Close in the top right corner of the banner.

Once you have found a banner that you like click on it and click on the Download button at the top of the screen. Read through the License Agreement and click I Accept. You will see the banner you chose on the screen. Click Download beneath the banner. You will have the option to Open the file or Save. Go ahead and choose Open With (make sure it says Microsoft Word in the box). The banner will open in Microsoft Word automatically. These templates are for Microsoft Word 2003 and up to Microsoft Word 2010.

There may be a time when you want some different templates other than banners. There are many that are not used for banners free on the Microsoft website.

TIP: You need to use Internet Explorer when downloading templates from the Microsoft.com website. Firefox, etc. may work but in most cases it won’t.

Customize Microsoft Word 2010 Banner

At this point you have the option to customize the banner. You can add text, change colors, change the fonts, etc. When you are satisfied with the banner click File and Save, and save the banner. If you ever want to open the banner open Word and click File – Open and choose the banner you want to open.

When you are ready to print the banner after making your changes Open template, click File and Print. Choose the printer and other options. Click the Print button.
