Resume Format For MS Word - Microsoft Word Resume Template

Use the Wizard
If you appreciate Microsoft’s simple-to-use wizards, this might be the resume template option for you. If you are using Word 2003 or earlier, the resume wizard is already available to you. Word 2007 eliminated the resume wizard, but if you are a Microsoft Office 2007 user, do not despair. There is a resume wizard template download available here.
To access the resume wizard template in Word 2003 or earlier, go to the File menu and click New. The New Document task pane will open on the left. Click On My Computer to open the Templates dialog. Go to the Other Documents tab and double click Resume Wizard.
In Word 2007, click the Office Button and then click New. Go to My Templates and select the Resume Wizard (after you download it, of course)
When the Resume Wizard opens, click Next to begin. Choose the style you prefer; your choices include Professional, Contemporary and Elegant. Click Next, then select the type of resume you want, such as Chronological or Functional and then click Next again. Enter your contact information, click Next, and then select the headings you want to include. Click Next a couple more times, add any other headings you want to include and click Finish.
Once the wizard is complete, a resume template will open as a new Word document. Type your information into the fields provided.

Another way to make a resume using free templates is to utilize the resume templates already installed in Word. To access these templates in Word 2003, go to the File menu and click New. In the New Template task pane, click On My Computer and go to the Other Documents tab. Double click a resume template to download it as a Word document.
If you are using Word 2007, click the Office Button and then click New. Select Resumes and CVs from the list of available Word templates. Choose the resume template you want to use by clicking on it, and then click the Download button. The resume template will open as a Microsoft Word document.
Select the sample text in the resume template and replace it with your personal information.
