Novell Certified Linux Administrator (CLA) prepares you for the day-to-day administration tasks of installed SUSE Linux Enterprise Server networks. It consists of two courses

Certified Linux Desktop Administrator (CLDA)

Certified Linux Desktop Administrator (CLDA) is an entry level Linux certification to provide you with the skills needed to install, configure and manage a Linux desktop environment. This certification does not require you to enroll in any course. Novell Certified Linux Professional 10

Once you have acquired the necessary skills to become a Linux administrator through Novell training courses, the Novell Certified Linux Professional 10 is a certification which validates to your potential employers that you are ready to begin your career as a Linux administrator.

Just like the other Novell certifications, this certification doesn’t have any course work. You only need to pass a Novell Practicum to achieve this certification.

Prerequisite:

You must hold a Novell CLP to become a Novell Certified Linux Engineer.

Novell Certified Administrator (NCA)

Novell Certified Administrator (NCA) can be said to be a newer version of the Certified NetWare Administrator (CNA) certification. It focuses on the skills you require to administer a network and server resources.
