The More the Better!

It’s a famous quote - the more the better! In the case of Wireless N USB Adapters this quote is true. Having more than one antenna on your wireless n USB adapter has many benefits. The most obvious of these benefits is better signal reception. Having dual antennas can greatly improve the range of your wireless N USB adapter and can significantly improve the speed of your connection.

So what’s the catch with these great devices? Well, finding a great dual antenna wireless N USB adapter can be a tough task. This article is going to help you find the best adapters.

The TP-Link TL-WN822N is a superb adapter. It is actually my favorite one on the market.

Why do I like it so much? First off, it is made by TP-Link, a great company which has been in the wireless technology

business for years. They make outstanding products which stand by their slogan, “the reliable choice”.

Now let’s move onto the specifics of the TL-WN822N. It can support speeds up to 300 mbps. That means significantly faster Internet speeds as most adapters can only support either 54 mbps or 150 mbps. If you pay for fast, high speed internet at home then it’s important your wireless N USB adapter handle high speeds.

Another great feature of the TL-WN822N is that it has built in, one touch wireless security encryption. The last feature I’ll elaborate on is the compatibility of the TL-WN822N. It can be used with almost any operating system, including all of the Windows operating systems.

The TP-Link TL-WN822N is currently priced at $24.99.

HornetTek HT-H10DN (4 out of 5)

The HornetTek HT-H10DN is my second favorite adapter. The HT-H10DN prides itself on providing more range and speed than other wireless n adapters. In fact, the manufacturer claims it has 6x the range and 3x the

speed of standard wireless adapters.

While I cannot say for sure whether these claims are true, I can say that when using the HT-H10DN I did have above average speed and range was never an issue.

Another feature of this wireless adapter that customers will like is added security, although the security features are not as advanced as the TP-Link TL-WN822N.

The only flaws I see with the HornetTek HT-H10DN are that it is made by HornetTek a smaller company in today’s large technology world. While this may not be an issue to some folks, I personally feel more comfortable with brand name products as the customer service and support is normally better. Another flaw I found is that it is not the most beautiful device.

The HT-H10DN is compatible with most operating systems including Mac, Windows, and Linux. It also comes with a 5 foot USB cable which makes it ideal for devices that are hard to reach.

The HornetTek HT-H10DN is currently priced at $24.99.

Hi-Gain™ Wireless-300N USB Adapter with Upgradeable Antennas (3 out of 5)

The Hi-Gain™ Wireless-300N USB Adapter with Upgradeable Antennas is my third favorite adapter. It is a bread and butter adapter – it gets the job done, but there are better options.

This device looks very nice

. However, there are some hidden flaws. Instillation of the Hi-Gain™ Wireless-300N USB Adapter can be a tough task. It doesn’t have as simple of an instillation process as the HornetTek HT-H10DN and TP-Link TL-WN822N.

Once you do successfully install this adapter it offers competitive speeds. It fact, of the three dual antenna adapters I mention in this article I would say the The Hi-Gain™ Wireless-300N USB Adapter provided the best performance.

The Hi-Gain™ Wireless-300N USB Adapter can be pricy. It is already priced at a sky high 80$ and on top of that the antennas are an additional cost as they are an upgrade. Overall it is a very good adapter, but some would argue it’s not worth it due to its price and tricky instillation.

The The Hi-Gain™ Wireless-300N USB Adapter is currently priced at $79.99.

Conclusion

So there you have it, my top dual antenna wireless N USB adapters. I hoped you enjoyed the article. Of the three mentioned the TP-Link TL-WN822N provided the best value as far as speeds, range, quality, and pricing. But really, you can’t go wrong with any of these wireless N adapters.
