There are many things you can do with fake dollar bills. If you are a teacher or parent, you can use them to teach children how to spend money and make change. You can use them to replace old, worn play dollars in a board game or to make your own homemade board game. You can pay your young children in play money for chores or special achievements, allowing them to trade up for the real stuff when they reach a certain amount. No matter what your requirements, you can use these free templates for play money to make your own printable fake money in Microsoft Publisher. Of course, these templates for play money should not be used to attempt to create any sort of counterfeit bills.

    Funny Money

This template will work wonderfully if you want to create multiple denominations in order to teach children the value of money or basic math. You can also use these for a play store or if you are creating a custom homemade board game. The template creates two one-dollar fake bills per page. You can easily change the denomination to any number you desire. The number one on either side of the bill is a clip art image, so you can replace one by right-clicking, choosing Change Picture and using a different number image. The One Dollar spelled out across the top is word art, so you can simply alter the text.

This template is ideal if you are a teacher who uses a reward system or a parent who wants to encourage your children to perform certain actions or reach specific goals on a limited budget. Use this "Kool Kid Kash," which has a point value instead of dollar amounts. You can change the color scheme to whatever suits you and even use your child's picture on the bill, if you choose.
