Like playing sports games. Come check out how the golf game, Super Swing Golf: Season 2, did for the Nintendo Wii. How are the graphics? How is the game play? You will find out.
The best games for the Nintendo Wii are those that make you feel like you're right in the action. Sports games have done the best when it comes to this. Super Swing Golf: Season 2 is the second offering in the Super Swing Golf video game franchise. They sought out to fix bugs and improve the playability from the first game. Did it work?
| The Game Controls | Rating |
No matter how cute the graphics are, sports games really come down to how well it plays. Super Swing Golf: Season 2 has you swinging your arms, Wii remote in hand, in a realistic way to propel the ball toward the hole. It took a while to get used to this playing style and I had a hard time hitting the ball straight on without a large curve. Once I got the hang of it, it was much easier. Still, there is a learning curve.
If you don't want to stand and swing your arms, you can do all the same moves with the buttons instead. This sort of defeats the purpose, though, and the game isn't nearly as fun this way.
| The Game Modes | Rating |
There are several different play modes that affect the game experience. You can either play championship-style in stroke play or match play. These modes aren't much different from the first game. The most fun element is the story mode. Here, you are playing against multiple enemies at golf holes or in minigames. This is where you unlock clothing and playable characters.
There's also multiplayer functions to the game. You can play against your friends in several different ways, from classic golf to silly minigames.

The big highlight for Super Swing Golf: Season 2 is the cartoon graphics. This game was created in Korea and is a great example of the visual style that comes from Korean anime artists. The colors are bright and the characters are absolutely adorable.
Still, the graphics don't appeal to every gamer. These are very simple and there's not a lot of intense detail. While I liked how it looked, I know many people who would knock the game's visual style purely based on simplicity.
| The Characters | Rating |
In this super fun golf game, you start out with a choice between two playable characters, Hana and Scout. Hana is an adorable girl with pigtails and a spunky spirit. Scout is the kind of boy who likes video games and sports. The choice is completely up to you.
As you play through the game, you win the chance to play with other characters that vary in gender, age, looks, and playing style. You can also buy new accessories and clothes. Although the game developers put a lot of time into character design, they aren't that integral to the story or the game play. Instead, the characters are just a nice add-on. Still, I loved dressing up Hana and changing her hair.

Although there are some negative aspects in regards to game controls and graphics, Super Swing Golf: Season 2 is still loads of fun. I played it for months and continue to play it even now. It may not be worth the price of other new releases, but you can usually find it for around $39.99 for a brand new copy.
