Jason Holtman, Valve's Director of Business Development, discussed the Steam plarform, digital distribution of PC games, and Valve's big game this year, Left 4 Dead 2, in this interview with Bright Hub's Jean Amprimoz.

For context information explaining and highlights from the interview, see the accompanying article: Valve's Jason Holtman on Steam Having Many Zombies, But Not Cannibalizing Sales

He reveals sales figures showing that Steam sales don't cannabilize traditional retail, how Steam determines which Indie games they will carry, and how they get the platform ready for big releases like Modern Warfare 2 or L4D2. We also discuss Left 4 Dead 2's huge marketing campaign, the use of licensed music in game, and in the They're Gonna Need More Zombies TV spot. It featured Electric Worry by Clutch, a band that has been generating awesome and innovative rock for over a decade. It appears that music will feature prominantly in L4D2 complete with fight scenes in concert halls.
