Group Strategies in Age of Conan Online Pt 1

Just like in many other MMO games, instances and group quests are found throughout Age of Conan. There are group instances in every hunting zone in the game, and one of the best examples of this is the Acheronian Ruins. In this area of the game, there are tons of mobs that have to be wiped out, plus bosses that are too hard to solo. Because of these things, the area is instanced for group play.

The great thing about instances in Age of Conan is that even if you enter one alone, you will not be alone in the instance. This helps you to find players to group with so it will make it easier for you to get through the quests here. But, even though there are areas throughout the game that are instanced, there are still quests in these areas that do require some patience and some thought. You cannot simply blow through them all without a plan. This means that you need to have a firm grasp on what makes a good group and how to work your part in a group.

When you are looking for a group in game, it can be pretty easy if you know what you're looking for. You need to start by looking for other players who are on the same quest that you are, so you know everyone is working for the same goal. You can group with players who have already done the quest or are a higher level if you need someone to help you out or if those players are looking for more xp.

There are certain classes that will make up a group that is ideal for instances in Age of Conan. This involves creating a unique balance between damage dealers and defensive players and healers. The balance will come from the perfect mix of tanks, damage dealers, and healers. You truly need at least one of each of these classes so that you have one to pull mobs from the weaker classes, one to heal and buff those who are pulling, and one to do damage by casting or melee attacks without being the main tank.

The main composition of a group that you want to strive for is: 1 main tank + 2-3 damage dealers + 1-2 healers. You can easily add in more of each class if needed, but this is the group makeup that you want to strive for when you are searching for a group. Sometimes this is not as easy as you might think, as there will always be more of one type of player than another when you truly need them. But, when you strive to find this type of group set up, it is really easy to get a good, solid group together.
