In World Of Warcraft, Weightstones are items that are used to enchant or buff a blunt weapon in order to increase the weapon's damage. This guide will describe the various weightstones and what they do in the game.

Basics

Weightstones are items that will enchant or buff a weapon (a blunt weapon) to increase the damage that the weapon does. Sharp items takes Sharpening Stones and not weightstones. Some weightstones will also increase critical strikes. These buffs will last an hour from the time of application and it will have a special icon on the top right side of your screen to indicate how much longer the buff will be on your weapon.

These items are made from blacksmiths of varying degree of skill and can be found from them via guilds and the auction house on the server of your choice. It’s a nice little way to pack a little extra punch to your fight and well worth the small price it is should you find yourself having to pay for them. Most of the time a friend in the game will give them to you prior to battle, especially if you are in a raid group.

Weightstones

There are seven types of weightstones that range from the lowest level user to the highest ranking available through the Burning Crusade Expansion. These are the types that you can find in the game so far.

A Rough Weightstone is for level 1 characters and comes from beginning blacksmiths. It gives a +2 weapon damage for the use.

A Coarse Weightstone is for level 5 characters and comes from level 65 Blacksmiths. It gives a +3 weapon damage for the use.

A Heavy Weightstone is for level 15 characters and comes from level 125 Blacksmiths. It gives a +4 weapon damage for the use.

A Solid Weightstone is for level 25 characters and comes from level 200 Blacksmiths. It gives a +6 weapon damage for the use.

A Dense Weightstone is for level 35 characters and comes from level 250 Blacksmiths. It gives a +8 weapon damage for the use.

A Fel Weightstone is for level 50 characters and comes from level 300 Blacksmiths. It gives a +12 weapon damage for the use.

An Adamantite Weightstone is for level 60 characters and comes from level 350 Blacksmiths. It gives a +12 weapon damage and a +14 to critical strike for the use.

The level requirement is the lowest level that a character can be to use the item, but a higher level character will be able to use any of the lower requirement ones on their weaponry without issue. Some can use lower level weightstones if they run out of the higher level ones if they need a little extra boost in a pinch.
