Ready to move on to the Sims 2 PC game and learn about the cheats for it? Well, here are some of the great pc game cheats that you can use for the Sims 2.

An Introduction to the Sims 2

As in the first Sims game, the second version of the Sims has a set of cheats as well. The main difference with the second game is that cheats can be implemented over the 3D environment that now the Sims face. It’s interesting how the game evolved from the 2.5 isometric view, to the 3D world so smoothly. Again, in this version the most useful cheat of all is the infinite money cheat and also a new one, turning off the aging of the Sims you created so that they can't die. Yes, there is a dose of realism in this game and your Sims can die by any mean, but with the aging off, at least you can cheat dead by age.

Cheats

To input the cheats is like the old game, just type SHIFT + CTRL and C, to activate the cheat menu window. It will then be displayed on the left side of the screen, but you need to know with the second game the cheat window is going to be more larger than the first game and if you make a mistake it will be shown in the window.

If you type help, you will get a small list with some of the codes that are available, and this is a great help since the cheats now are in the game and you can see them without shuffling papers or shutting down the game and go to the Internet to see what cheats can be used. In my opinion this is probably the best help you can get inside the game.

Motherlode is the best cheat ever in the entire game; you get $50,000 Simeloneons every time you input it, but this code as the other codes can only be activated in the house display and with a Sim living inside the terrain. I recommend using this cheat to obtain better and bigger houses.

Unlockcareerrewards is the code that let the Sims to go higher in their careers.

Maxmotives: Is the best code to stabilize the motives of your Sims, use it and they will get their motives to the max.

TerrainType: It just toggle up terrains.

Aging <off and on> is the cheat you want to use if you feel attached to your Sims and you don’t want them to die by age, but remember this cheat don’t make them immortals they just don’t be killed by age.

autoPatch <on or off> gives the option to update the game automatically without, but if you want to do it manually you can turn off this cheat.

Conclusion

Also there are other cheats present, but I’m still testing them, when I finish testing the rest of the cheats, I will update the article. So far this are the cheats that work 99% of the time during the gameplay, they are really easy to use because they don’t involve manipulating the terrains parameters, such as moving bridges and limits. The game itself is way much better than the first one as now is in a 3D environment but the cheats themselves are still similar as the first version of the game, where the player can improve the lives of their Sims by a simple click, although the manipulation of the outside and inside terrain is more difficult than the first game because of the update.
