For anyone that likes turn-based combat MMO games, then Freaky Creatures is one that you have to try out. Here is your preview of this new MMO game that is still in beta.
Freaky Creatures Overview
In Freaky Creatures, you design and create a completely new monster to fight in the game. You choose everything about it - from looks to name to powers - and even where it lives in the universe. You design it's home, decorate it, and duel other freaky creatures in game for experience and fun. Even though this one is in open beta and there are some slow areas, it's one fun game to check out, no matter what your age is!
| Game Play | Rating |
Basically, this is a turn based MMO game, where you choose your attack and watch it play out against your opponent. You have a wide variety of different attacks, defenses, and more, so each turn you can choose how you want your character to react. As you level up by gaining experience fighting other players, you can add bigger and better skills to your character to give it the edge it needs in battle. The game is still in beta, so they are still working out some bugs, so there are some really slow areas that you'll notice as you battle others. The game play itself is pretty basic, but still fun, so I'm giving it a 4 out of 5.

Ok, this is where the fun is. Now, while the game play can be slow, the graphics make up for it. From the beginning of designing your character to battling others, you'll find some great graphics here. Your attacks will show up against the person that you are battling, and so will theirs - everything from spikey poison thorns to freeze rays to tail whacks. This game holds some fun graphics in battle.
As for the game in general, the graphics are really well done. The home that you choose for your creature will allow you so many different choices to customize your toon's home and make it comfortable and happy. And, no matter what type of toon you choose, you'll find that the graphics on it are pretty darn good. You can check out some screenshots below to see what I'm talking about.
The only thing that I'm noticing is that the shadows in battle are grainy, almost squared off. So, this does take away from it a bit - but really, you aren't going to notice much. So, for graphics, I give it a 4 out of 5 as well.

| Fun or Not? | Rating |
While I'm not a big turn-based MMO fan, I actually like this one. It's fun to watch your toon fight and defend itself against others, and it's fun to see what other players come up with when it comes to monsters and powers. So, you are always going to be seeing something different as you fight different players. This means that you won't get bored too easily. And, if you get bored of your current powers, you can always change them up to find the ones that work the best for your toon and your playing style. Overall, in terms of fun, I give this one a 4 out of 5 as well.
So, if you are looking for a fun beta to try out, you might give Freaky Creatures a try and see just what you think. We'll see how it plays out with different changes that are made during the beta before the game is completely released to the public.
