Guild Wars: Vanquisher and Legendary Vanquisher Title Guide

The Ultimate Guide to Guild Wars will allow players to dive into the game like never before. Titles in Guild Wars are a way to show off a player’s achievements and accomplishments in the game. There are a total of 44 different title tracks across all the Guild Wars campaigns; Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. However, players can only achieve a maximum of 43 on any given character. The two titles that collide with each other are Survivor and Defender of Ascalon. You cannot get Defender of Ascalon without dying and you cannot die to get Survivor. So to get one the character will miss out on getting the other.

Titles are displayed under the Guild Wars character’s name. To view titles in progress or to see those that are completed tap the “h” key while in game and a screen will come up with a tab that allows you an overview of all your titles. Players can also change which title is displayed on their character from this screen as well.

The Vanquisher and Legendary Vanquisher titles are core titles that can be obtained in any of the campaigns; there is one specific

Vanquisher title for each campaign; Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall. The main focus to obtain the Vanquisher titles is to kill every monster in each area of the campaigns in hard mode. Completing all of the Vanquisher titles will earn a player the Legendary Vanquisher title.

 

• Prophecies – 54 Areas Vanquished – Tyrian Vanquisher
• Factions – 33 Area Vanquished – Canthan Vanquisher
• Nightfall – 34 Area Vanquished – Elonian Vanquisher

• Legendary Vanquisher - Completed every Vanquisher title (3)

 

Players must vanquish a multitude of areas in hard mode for each campaign; Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall. Here is a list of the main places in each campaign and how many areas are in each.

 

Prophecies

• Ascalon – 9 Areas
• Northern Shiverpeaks – 5 Areas
• Kryta – 12 Areas
• Maguuma Jungle – 8 Areas
• Crystal Desert – 7 Areas
• Southern Shiverpeaks – 12 Areas
• Ring of Fire Islands – 1 Area

 

Factions

• Shing Jea Island – 8 Areas
• Kaineng City – 10 Areas
• Echovald Forest – 7 Areas
• The Jade Sea – 8 Areas

 

Nightfall

• Istan – 7 Areas
• Kourna – 10 Areas
• Vabbi – 10 Areas
• The Desolation – 7 Areas

 

Every title in Guild Wars is a direct reflection of how that person plays his or her personal game. Some titles focus on Player versus Environment (PvE), others focus on social orientation, and then some on Player versus Player (PvP) game play. The list of titles seems almost endless.

 

Vanquisher

Try focusing on one section of areas at a time. This title takes a great deal of time and dedication. Remember to bring tons of death penalty remover, money for shrines, and helpful items that give buffs. Vanquishing these areas does require the bosses to be killed so sometimes this title is combined with the Skill Hunter title. After vanquishing an area the hard mode icon will become gold signifying its completion. Watch your character’s death penalty because at 60% you will be killed and have to start over.

Legendary Vanquisher

Completing each Vanquisher title in the campaigns; Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall, is what players will need to accomplish in order to obtain the Legendary Vanquisher title.
