Guild Wars: Master of the North Title Guide

Titles in Guild Wars are a way to show off a player’s achievements and accomplishments in the game. There are a total of 44 different title tracks across all the Guild Wars campaigns; Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. However, players can only achieve a maximum of 43 on any given character. The two titles that collide with each other are Survivor and Defender of Ascalon. You cannot get Defender of Ascalon without dying and you cannot die to get Survivor. So to get one the character will miss out on getting the other.

Titles are displayed under the Guild Wars character’s name. To view titles in progress or to see those that are completed tap the “h” key while in game and a screen will come up with a tab that allows you an overview of all your titles. Players can also change which title is displayed on their character from this screen as well.

The Master of the North title is a title that can only be obtained in the Eye of the North campaign of Guild Wars. This title focuses on character accomplishments such as questing, dungeons, and vanquishing.

There are 6 tiers to the Master of the North title.

• 1- 100 Mastery Points – Adventurer of the North
• 2- 200 Mastery Points – Pioneer of the North
• 3- 350 Mastery Points – Veteran of the North
• 4- 550 Mastery Points – Conqueror of the North
• 5- 750 Mastery Points – Master of the North
• 6- 1,000 Mastery Points – Legendary Master of the North

The Master of the North title can be obtained without ever having access to the Guild Wars: Eye of the North expansion as long as

players possess the remaining 3 campaigns: Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall. Complete Zinn’s M.O.X. hero quest and use the Golem User Manual to gain access to the Secret Underground Lair. The Secret Underground Lair is part of the Eye of the North territory.

Completing the Eye of the North dungeons in both hard mode and normal mode rewards players with the following amounts of reputation points:

• Dwarven – 12,000
• Vanguard – 9,000
• Asura – 9,000
• Norn – 16,500

Rewards for quests that must be completed for dungeons will equal 46 platinum 500 gold, 232,000 experience, and reputation points.

Every title in Guild Wars is a direct reflection of how that person plays his or her personal game. Some titles focus on Player versus

Environment (PvE), others focus on social orientation, and then some on Player versus Player (PvP) game play. The list of titles seems almost endless.

There are many different ways to obtain the Master of the North title in Guild Wars. Choose the one that works the best with your game play style.

• Completing a repeatable primary Eye of the North quest for the very first time – 5 Points
• Completing a repeatable primary Eye of the North quest for the very first time in hard mode – 10 Points
• Completing a dungeon for the very first time – 10 Points
• Completing a dungeon for the very first time in hard mode – 20 Points
• Vanquishing in Eye of the North – 15 Points
• Exploring the map – 1 Point for every .99% explored

Total possible points any one character can obtain is 1031.
