PKing in Runescape has been a pastime shared by many players, especially small clans. This guide will break down the best ways for small clans to get a lot of kills when they go PKing while also having tons of fun with friends.

Introduction to Small Clans

Runescape Small Clan PKingPlayers PKing in small clans is a common sight in PvP worlds. Oftentimes, it will just be a group of friends heading out for some fun and to gain some quick cash. Team sizes range from 2 to 10 players and their main strategy is to use suprise attacks along with a variety of skills to make their trip successful.

Roles in Small Clan Pking

As with large clans, you will want tankers, teleblockers, blitzers/barragers, and rangers. However, since your clan is small, some of these roles may not be filled. The roles that cannot be given up are the teleblockers and blitzers/barragers. These are the people who trap the opponents.

Usually, you can fill all the roles by simply having two sets of armor and two attack types per person. Each player can double-up with two attack types of any kind, except for being a teleblocker/blitzer or a teleblocker/barrager. Those two combinations call for having two different types of magic books set at the same time, which is impossible. The best combination, if you only have 2-3 people, would be to have three sets of gear and attack styles, like being a teleblocker/tanker/ranger or barrager/tanker/ranger. These combinations can be done by having magic gear, with ranged and melee weapons in your inventory.

Simply put, the more people you have on your team, the better you can split up the roles. However, this works both ways. The fewer people you have, the more you will have to either double or triple up on attack styles to ensure you have the same power as most other people out in PvP worlds will have to use against you.

The PKing Strategy

RunescapeAs mentioned in the introduction, strategy is everything to small clans. When you are heading out for some Rs PKing, have everyone in the clan follow the leader. This will make only two dots on the minimap, instead of having everyone spread out and visible. This will help you by not scaring off other clans, because they will see fewer dots and remain unaware of the true size of your party.

Another important tactic is to take the paths that are less popular and less traveled. This means going around certain parts of the world, instead of running right through them. This also means you should avoid popular cities in PvP worlds. Places like Varrock, Adrouge, Bounty Hunter, The Clan Wars Arena, and the Mage Training Arena are places where many people hang out. Keep away so you don't get piled on by larger clans.

One great tactic is to simply wait outside these popular places. Try to "DD," also known as "Death Dot," at the entrance to high traffic mentioned above and wait for other players to come to you. Using the "Death Dot" means having all your players stand on the same spot. This results in only one dot on the minimap and will make it look like only one person is waiting, when actually you have your entire clan waiting to scatter and attack.

Using these strategies, along with having different types of skills and attacks, such as teleblock, blitz/barrage, melee, and range, will help your clan to catch and kill many more opponents during your PKing trips. Also, remember to use surprise and the "Death Dot" to your advantage to hide and attack when it is least expected by your opponent.
