Warhammer Online Class Guides: Disciple of Khaine – Part 1, The Basics

These words aptly describe the class which thrives solely on the dark arts – the Disciple of Khaine warrior class, belonging to the Dark Elves of Warhammer Online. These ‘Masters of Death’ revere their dark god, the legendary Khaine, and are known as the warrior priests. Each attack towards their enemy is basically an offering to the dark god himself. The more they attack, the more they offer to their god, and the god gives them more powers and blessings in return.

These warrior priests are equipped with some heavily barbed protective armors, made of leather and steel. Their faces are hidden partially with face masks, and they carry either the twin ritual blades, or a single ritual blade with a ritual chalice.

The modus operandi of the disciple is simple – by using these ritual blades, the disciple sucks out and garners the essence and soul of the enemy as an offering to Khaine. They also use this drained energy and soul essence to heal themselves and their allies. The soul essence from the enemies is what makes the Disciple of Khaine a powerful druchii warrior. Also, the soul essence that a disciple loses, can be restored when they are not in battle.

The disciple not only attacks the enemy, he tortures them to a slow and painful death as it garners the maximum energy from him. The slower and more painful the attack is, the greater the the chance that Khaine will offer his blessings in larger doses.

If you have chosen the Disciple of Khaine as your fighter class, congratulations! But let me remind you, the disciple’s attack is only effective if he harvests and garners the powers of his enemy. That said, the disciple is useless at a distance. He must fight at the front and as near the enemy as possible to harvest the maximum essence.

The disciple is not a totally defensive character and gets hurt easily. Nevertheless, the warrior priest can heal himself and the allies. By skillfully combining the sharpness of the blades and the blessings of the Khaine god, the disciple is both offensive and defensive at the same time. Take the disciple as a master tactician, who just turns the tide of any war by making the power and energy of the enemy his own and distributes it to his allies.

Battling the Disciple of Khaine also requires tactics. It is important to remember that as long as the Disciple can get you, he can drain the power from you, so, try to keep distance. If you're a melee class that absolutely needs to get up close and personal with a DoK, maximize abilities that debuff them. The most effective debuff you can use on a DoK is something that prevents them from healing themself to the fullest extend. Those blades are deadly, so it would be in your best interest to have someone healing you as well.
