Templar are the "good" subclass of Clerics. They are able to start in both Kelethin and Qeynos, and are playable by all good and neutral races. These include Humans, Barbarians, Erudites, Half Elves, Kerran, Gnomes, Dwarves, Frogloks, Fae, Wood Elves, High Elves and Halflings.
Like their evil counterparts, Templar are able to wear plate armor and can use all the same types of weapons and shields. They are also able to take their share of hits if they gain agro in battles. Templar are not a very powerful soloing class and are more adept at grouping and keeping others alive. This is because they have a low amount of damaging spells and abilities.
Sporting the highest amount of resurrections, heals and cures, Templar are almost a requirement in most groups. They have a small amount of damaging abilities and the ones they do have don’t deal a lot of damage. Instead, they have a wide array of debuffs, cures, defensive buffs and can even send nearby party members to their Home.
