Sholazar Basin. It doesn’t exactly role off the tongue, nor does it want to make you scream out loud “I love that place!” It is, however, a stomping ground for The Oracles and their archenemies, The Frenzyheart Tribe. This guide will allow you to 'get in' with The Oracles and their Quartermaster.

Ultimate Guide to World of Warcraft Factions and Reputations

Make sure to check out the Ultimate Guide to World of Warcraft factions. You can find detailed guides on how to raise reputation, obtain rewards, and more with every major faction in World of Warcraft (WoW).

Introduction to The Oracles

If you are like 99% of World of Warcraft players in their hatred for Murlocs, then your relationship with The Oracles will get off to a rocky start. On the up side (if you can call it that) we are reassured that these are ‘intelligent’ Murlocs and a friendly bunch all round. Yeah right…

The Oracles are fighting to keep the land of their ancestors from the new kids on the block, The Frenzyheart Tribe (who were driven from their own home by some bully named ‘The Scourge’, so they decided to try and drive The Oracles from their home using the same bullying tactics). Didn’t their mother’s tell them never to fight fire with fire?

Therefore, when entering Scolazar Basin, it is up to you as an impartial judge to decide which faction you will legion with: The Oracles or The Frenzyheart Tribe.

If You Decide to Choose The Oracles

If you so wish to receive rep for The Oracles and become Exalted with them (and in turn become Hated by the The Frenzyheart Tribe) then follow the steps below:

  • Talk to Archmage Pentarus within Dalaran. He can be found near the entrance to the flight path area. He will give you a quest named Where in the World is Hemet Nesingwary? And don’t worry, you will be given a parachute for the landing!
  • Then go on and complete all quests within this area and soon you will receive the quest you are looking for. You will be sent off to Tamara Wobblesprocket who gives the quest The Part-Time Hunter. This is optional (you could go straight to Tracker Gekgek and receive Playing Along if you so wish to).
  • After completing the mammoth quest chain, you can then choose to complete Hand of the Oracles (for The Oracles Reputation) or Frenzyheart Champion (for The Frenzyheart Tribe Reputation). The names are a giveaway…

What's Next?

You will now be honored with The Oracles and will have access to eight quests which all give Oracle Reputation (ranging from 500 to 700). Complete these quests until Exalted. I would recommend picking your favorites and completing them over and over again, or simply choosing to complete the ones which give most rep. Like any Rep Grind this one is long, but half the work is done if you have made it this far! He says...

Rewards

The Oracles Quartermaster goes by the name Geen and looks somewhat like a baby dinosaur. If you have chosen to become allied with The Oracles you will probably have an item in mind you want. Say, for example, you are an avid collector of pets; the Mysterious Egg will be of great interest to you. If not, I’m guessing 9 out of the 10 people who make this grind are going for the trinket. The list of all items available through Oracle Reputation can be found here. Good luck!

The quest "A Hero's Burden" is repeatable and swaps the rep between the Oracles and the Frenzy heart Tribe.<br>

My reputation with oracle is netrual and frenzyheart tribe is unfriendly.
Now, i am doing the quest call The Part Time hunter. And i finish it.
I found the frenzyheart tribe elite who is given quest when i kill the beast according to the quest<The Part Time hunter>.
The things is i can`t take the quest from that elite to start the chain quest.
And one secret thing is i got the level 80 without doing any quest.
The gm type .levelup and i reach to level 80.
i am waiting for the reply.

You have to finish the quest line before you choose your side.

You can't start repping up properly with them til you've been frenzyheart, saved the oracle and then done the oracles quests, right up to the bit where you kill the lich. Just because you saved the oracle doesn't mean you've 'ballsed it up' it just means you're closer to choosing your side

Changing rep
At any time if you wish to change rep from one faction to another go back to the cave (entrance at about 54.5, 56.5 and do the fight over again and choose the other side. You will have to start the grind all over but that is how you switch.

If you pick the frenzyheart then about halfway through part fo the chest chain makes you become allied with the oracles. It is part of the chest chain and is NOT how you switch. After doing more quests in the chain, it will switch you baack again to frenzyheart, at which point you can do dailies for them.

Plz how do i change my rep from Frenzyheart to good with the Oracles
Lance Dec 30, 2009 7:43 AM
Oops! Why???
OK, well, I did the reverse. I was actually honored with the Frenzyheart, and I went off on a quest that told me to capture an injured Oracle. So, I click on the guy, he says something like, "Oh, spare me!" and I choose the only option I am given, which is effectively, "OK." and BOOM, just like that, I'm friendly with the Oracles and hated by the Frenzies -- this after I spent some gold on their JC recipe. Granted, philosophically I like the Oracles better (not only are the Frenzies intruders, the whole talking down to me as their "slave" thing got old), but I wasn't looking to switch and don't appreciate Blizz making it so easy to goof up. Now the question is, having missed the first part of the chain, I've done all the Oracle quests I can find and I'm only 1101/12000 Honored. Now what? Killing "puppy men" doesn't seem to even gain me the pathetic 10 rep that OL factions used to give you for killing their enemies.

RE: um yeah...
Follow all the quests and then u will get a quest to poke fun at an injured oracle whcih will give you quests for the oracles - eventually you will get a quest called A hero's Burden - when you kill the boss for this quest u will need to kill the Boss you will be given the choice to either kill a frenzyheart or an oracle - kill the frenzyheart - you will then be able to do a daily quest which will start you being able to do Oracles Dailys
ben Oct 15, 2009 4:00 PM
um yea...
I folowed the quest chain and now i am stuck wit the frenzyheart how do i switch?
Jesma Aug 28, 2009 9:45 PM
The Part Time Hunter
The quest to start this chain is called The Part-Time Hunter and is actually given by that Tamara Wobblesprocket in River's Heart. When you kill the quest mob (Pitch) the nearby Frenzyheart get angry. If you speak to them you'll start a quest called Playing Along, which is the beginning of the entire Frenzyheart / Oracles quest line.
