Runescape Skill Crafting with Clay

One of the different ways to use the crafting skill is to work with clay. You can mine clay from the clay rocks and use it with water to make soft clay. Once you have the soft clay then you can work it into different items.

With soft clay (mined clay with water), you need a potters wheel and a pottery oven. These can be found in the Crafting guild and Barbarian Village. There is one other way to work with clay and that is with a jewelry item called the Bracelet of Clay, as you mine the bracelet will automatically wet it for you so that you don’t have to go and seek out water to make it malleable. This is extremely handy and time saving.

There are many different things that you can make. Some of these are easier to get from cooks and bakers, but you are going to need to make them to gain the experience.

• Pot – These only need a level of 1 to make, and will give a total experience of nearly 13 when done.
• Pie Dish – This needs a crafting level of 7 to make, and it will give 25 in total experience when made.
• Bowl – To make a bowl you’ll need a crafting skill level of 8 and it will give 33 in experience. It is a great method of raising skill for the F2P members.
• Plant Pot – For members, you need a level of 19 to craft these and it will give you 37.5 experience when done.
• Pot Lid – After the members do the One Small Favour quest you can make these, they need a skill level of 25 and will give you 40 in experience.

Clay is a fun way to up your crafting skill and make different things needed. With the right tools, mining clay and wetting it for the potters wheel and oven can be fun and easy. It is something different to do rather than working with other items that may need higher skill levels or items that will not give as much experience to create as the pottery items. Do whatever you’d like to do, at least with the crafting skill you’ll have some choices in what you do for your crafting experience.
