WWE Legends of Wrestlemania

The graphical presentation of WWE Legends of Wrestlemania is well above average for most games developed today, but pales beside games like Killzone 2 or Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

A two minute introductory scenes comprised of actual television coverage of the event precede each historical match in Legends. This presentation does a fantastic job of bringing you up to speed on current events if you happen to be new to wrestling and pumping up the adrenalin of wrestling fans about old rivalries. The level of historical detail in the presentation is amazing, and it's obvious that someone spent a lot of nights going over the film and getting the facts right.

Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross lend their voice to this production and they do an amazing job. Great voice acting with nice emotion and entertaining dialogue. Unfortunately, WWE Legends of Wrestlemania doesn't include any more of the historical voices from the time, which is kind of weird considering its content.

WWE Legends of Wrestlemania is moderately re-playable, but it's certainly more of a history lesson that's entertaining and satisfying to live and includes enough content to provide both wrestling virgins and fanatics with an adrenalin-filled ride that is highly engaging.

Playing through the modes took me a moderately long 26 hours, but then wrestling never was my first choice for entertainment, so it took me awhile to get into it.

A wonderfully satisfying collection of the cool parts of wrestling in the 80s and 90s allows you to relive the exhibitions and antics of more than 40 larger-than-life WWE legends and their managers.

Legends is something wrestling fans certainly need to check out, and even people who associate wrestling with brainless endeavours should find this an entertaining experience. WWE Legends of Wrestlemania may basically be a history lesson, but at least this is one you won't sleep through.
