Curious to find out if this next installment of Dynasty Warriors is worth the trouble playing or not? Well, here is your gamer's review of this title and why it just doesn't completely hit the mark with me.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2

dynasty warriors box When it comes to this series of games, Dynasty Warriors rarely disappoints. Yet, this time, I have to say that it falls short of the mark with me as it's not what I expected from this series. While it does offer a fun game time, it's not near what the others are. So, if you are a true fan of the other Dynasty Warriors games for any of the consoles out there, you might want to steer clear of this part of the series, as it can really taint your outlook on the story line, the developers, and the game overall. Here is your gamer's review of Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2.

Story Line
Rating Below Average

If you aren't familiar with the story line of the Gundam universe, you better get there before you start on this game or you will be hopelessly lost. Those that are familiar with it will be able to follow and understand why the main character, Char Aznable, can have a triple identity. They can also understand why "Master Asia" is named after a continent instead of just a tree or flower. There are tons of story lines and content behind each character in the game - so if you aren't familiar with any of it, this game will not do a good job of explaining and it will get frustrating. For those that have several hours, or weeks, to go through all of the characters in the game, you can actually play each one and follow their story line so you can try to piece together everything. Personally, I could not do it. I am familiar a bit with the Gundam story line, but man, this game does a horrible job of keeping it alive. So bad in fact, that I could not really follow anything past the basics of get the people out of the television before they get stuck in there forever.
