Ghost Recon 2 is a good entry in the long-running series of tactical shooters based on the input of author Tom Clancy that began with Rainbow Six. This game combines great graphics with gameplay that borders on realism, so much that it sometimes is very difficult. This game is available on both the Xbox and PS2 video game consoles, though most gamers agree that the Xbox version is far superior.
This is a tactical shooter, meaning that you don’t just charge in with guns blazing and expect to find a health pack or some other restorative aid after the battle. In this game, if you run up into an enemy encampment you’ll be quickly gunned down just like you would in real life. This is the kind of game where you have to move slowly and methodically, and by all means you must pick the right approach. A large part of the fun to be had in this game is just trying to figure out the best way to take out enemies, since you are always going to be outnumbered and outgunned. It takes away many of the arcade combat aspects you find in a lot of shooters, and makes for a more realistic experience.
