Gameplay is much the same as previous versions with platforming, battle and puzzle sections. Although they all seem to be a little more intense than they were in Tools of Destruction, there is much more opportunity to fall off things which means that the fact that you don't have Clank to help you glide to safety makes it that much more difficult. The light/dark areas are a nice little addition as well and it requires you to carry around a glowing slug and squeals and sneezes. I actually found myself trying to take it places where I didn't need it just so I could listen to it some more.
Sadly, you don't get to carry the weapons over that you had in the previous game (I miss my Rhyno) and you actually are forced to go without any for a bit. Since this is such a short game, you can easily max the level on almost all of your weapons (Level 5). The Omniwrench Millennium 12, another new addition to the game, replaces your old wrench. It has a "tether" ability that allows you to manipulate certain objects which adds to the puzzle solving aspect of the game as well as coordination, since there are times that you will have to dodge enemy fire or jump from sinking platforms while using your wrench.
