A look at what January, February, March, and April have in store for you in Animal Crossing.

January to April Events

All throughout the year there are things going on in the Animal Crossing town you create. Since the game moves in real time (provided you don’t change your calendar/clock) if it’s Christmas out of the game, it’s Christmas in the game. Here are the events that you can find from January to April in the game of Animal Crossing.

January 1– New Year’s Day is celebrated by gathering in front of the Wishing Well between 6-11 a.m. The Mayor will give you a diary and advice. There is also a “sunshine lottery” from Katrina near the well. For collectors, this is the only time of the entire year that you can get Fortune Paper.

February 2 – Groundhog’s Day is celebrated by gathering to see the village groundhog’s prediction. This takes place around 8 a.m. near the Wishing Well, with Mr Resetti making the groundhog. Talking to Mayor Tortimer after the gathering is done you will get a flower model.

February 14 – Valentine’s Day is celebrated by giving and receiving mail. You can receive up to 12 different valentines, some with gifts attached, on this day. Be nice and spread your friendships around to ensure good presents on this day.

March 20 or 21 – Spring Sports Fair is celebrated through various events throughout the day. If you get to it early you can enter the first event which is gymnastics. Talking to Mayor Tortimer during the fair you will get a Spring Medal. The Sports Fair schedule shows 9 a.m. to be Gymnastics, 11 a.m. to be a Foot Race, 1 p.m. to be a Ball Game, and 3 p.m. to be a Tug-of-War event.

April 1 – April Fool’s Day is celebrated by the town folk trying to prank you. Mayor Tortimer will give you a “Super Tortimer” that he’ll say is a NES game for your house to play but it’s really nothing at all!

April 5-7 – The Cherry Blossom Festival is celebrated by the town suddenly bursting into bloom and having pink flowers everywhere. Mayor Tortimer will explain the festival and then give you a pink tree model.

April 22 – Nature Day is celebrated through great happiness and general goodness throughout the town. Mayor Tortimer will give out tree models during this day.

As you can see, even if you aren’t really interested in the events and festivals of the first few months of the year, I’d go to Mayor Tortimer so that you can collect the models that he will give out.
