G-Force: The Video Game

G-Force is due out this month, in time for the movie

G-Force, the Jerry Bruckheimer produced film, is appearing in movie theaters around the US this month. And to mark the occasion, Disney Interactive has announced the release of G-Force the video game. A fast-paced action-platforming video game based on the movie, G-Force will be appearing on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, PSP, Wii, and PC, sometime this month. The exact dates for the release of the title for each particular platform haven't been finalized, but expect the more popular platforms to be released first.

G-Force puts you in the role of G-Force Commander Darwin, a guinea pig unlike the shy and reserved ones you have known, with the skills, gadgets, and confident attitude of a top-flight secret agent gained through his training with the U.S. government. Tasked with fighting the evil billionaire industrialist Leonard Sabers and stopping his devious plot to take over the world using killer robots disguised as ordinary household appliances. Darwin uses help from his friend Mooch the fly, his secret agent skills, and undying never-say-die attitude to take down the bad guy and bring peace to the world.

G-Force: What Is Known So Far...

The game shown so far shows a G-Force heavy in third person action, heavy on combat, with some light puzzle solving game play elements that show good potential, if they're able to carry the action through to the final product. The camera angle of the game is set appropriately closer to the ground to get a head level view of Darwin as he dives underneath tables and up drain pipes to avoid trouble. They even included a nice jet pack for Darwin to use that allows him to navigate the human world a lot better, he can travel over fences and it even has a nice speed-boost that works well close to the ground. So, it seems so far that Disney Interactive is trying to get G-Force the video game to get up and running right.

The cute, stylish graphical presentation of G-Force included crab-like toasters, aggressive shavers, and angry blenders that showed a modest amount of detail and had a sharp, clean visual look. G-Force the video game ran at a pretty good frame rate through out the levels we played and the game never slowed down as the action became intense. The 3D effect they have planned for G-Force, required the traditional red and black glasses, but the effects were truly spectacular, with amazing flash that will immerse the kids in a world that isn't really violent.

G-Force: Story Line And Background

In G-Force, the main character that you will come across is Darwin. Darwin is a guinea pig secret agent of the James Bond mould and no secret agent is complete without a useful and spectacular set of amazing gadgets to call upon in times of extreme danger, and Disney Interactive has added gadgets and weapons for Darwin to use while playing G-Force. The main gadgets used in the levels we played were the saberliser scanner, plasma gun, and electric whip, but they're planning on adding gadgets and weapons you can gain as you progress through the game. Expect to use a flamethrower, a freeze ray, a nano hacker that turns enemies into allies, and be able to upgrade your weapons data chips that will be dropped by the enemies that Darwin eliminates in G-Force the video game.

Everything we've seen tells us that G-Force might be a title to check out and it might be in your stores by the time this preview hits the Internet. If the final product is anything like the video game we played then we might actually get a video game based on a movie that's as entertaining as the movie or better.
