Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe Character Guide: Scorpion

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe utilizes four attack buttons, identified in the game (and also in this guide) as Attacks 1, 2, 3, and 4. The following table lists which button corresponds to each attack on both the Xbox 360 console and the Playstation 3 console. The button combinations for the Xbox will be listed first and the PS3 button combinations second below.

• Attack 1 -- X or square
• Attack 2 -- Y or triangle
• Attack 3 -- A or X
• Attack 4 -- B or circle
• Block -- RT or R2
• Throw -- LB or L1
• Klose Kombat -- RB or R1
• Rage -- LT + RT or L2 + R2

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe has basic combat attacks that you can read about in my article at Kombat Basics and Additional Kombat Information.

Scorpion is the kind of character some girls like, very aggressive and best when played this way, but then he's a demon and likes to keep everybody guessing about his next move. Use Spear to set up his big combos and keep opponents on the defensive with Hellfire and Fiery Teleport. Blown Away and Blasted Wind are high-powered combos, and you can combo nicely into a Spear grab from Silver Fury to set up for one of these two big damage attacks.

Scorpion's special style moves are something that anyone can master - if you take the time to do it!

• Demon Fist -- attack 1 -- maximum damage 3%
• Silver Fury -- attack 1, attack 1 - maximum damage 8% and crumple
• Quick Movements -- attack 1, attack 2 -- maximum damage 12%
• Unspeakable Horror -- attack 1, attack 3 --maximum damage 17% and knockdown
• Lurky Evil -- attack 1, attack 4 -- maximum damage 12% and crumple
• Blown Away -- attack 1, attack 1, attack 3 -- maximum damage 21% and knockdown
• Hot Demon -- attack 1, attack 1, attack 4 -- maximum damage 17% and knockdown
• Blasted Wind -- attack 1, attack 1, left + attack 2 -- maximum damage 21% and knockdown
• Demon Blast -- left + attack 1 -- maximum damage 7% and knockdown
• Knife Fist -- attack 2 -- maximum damage 7%
• Double Fists -- left + attack 2 -- maximum damage 14% and knockdown
• Hair Raiser -- attack 3 -- maximum damage 14% and knockdown
• Crane Legs -- left + attack 3 -- maximum damage 12% and pop-up
• Chest Kick -- attack 4 -- maximum damage 7%
• Overrated -- attack 4, attack 2 -- maximum damage 14%
• Sneaky Legs -- attack 4, attack 3 -- maximum damage 19% and knockdown
• Feel the Flame -- attack 4, left + attack 3 -- maximum damage 19% and pop-up
• Death Sweep -- left + attack 4 -- maximum damage 7% and knockdown
• Low Punch -- down + attack 1 -- maximum damage 2%
• Uppercut -- down + attack 2 -- maximum damage 13% and knockdown
• Low Kick -- down + attack 3 -- maximum damage 2%
• Reaching Low Kick -- down + attack 4 -- maximum damage 2%

As you can see from the screen shots below, Scorpion can throw off some awesome moves that you will really want to stay on top of. For those that can master these moves, you can easily see how cool they look and how they can criple their enemies - no matter who you are fighting!

Scorpion's Super Moves

• Spear -- left, left, attack 1 -- maximum damage 3% -- this attack is his well-known spear projectile that moves at the speed of light and then helps him drag you into range for a little fun.
• Fiery teleport -- down, left, attack 3 -- maximum damage 7% and pop-up.
• Hellish Slide -- down, left, attack 4 -- maximum damage 9% and knockdown
• Inner Flames -- down, down, attack 2 -- maximum damage 11%
• Hellfire -- down, left, attack 2 -- maximum damage 9%

Scorpion's Pro Move Soulless Torment -- down, left, attack 3, down, left, attack 3

Finishing Moves Fatality 1 -- down, down, down, attack 4 (sweep range) Fatality 2 -- down, down, down, up, attack 3 (close)
