This article gives hints and tips aimed at helping you to progress through Chaos Wars for PlayStation 2

Aside from overlooking this game's attrocious voice acting, there are many tips that can be derived to help you to have a more enjoyable gaming experience when playing Chaos Wars. These tips range from familiairizing yourself with the game characters to small game-play tips, to a few cheats.

Game Characters

If you feel a little lost on the character development in Chaos Wars, you are not alone. This game is a compilation of characters from the Shadow Hearts, Gungrave and Neverland RPGs. In order to be more familiar with the characters available in this game (especially if you are not familiar with these other RPG titles) it may be helpful to take advantage of the games' built in library. However, it may be even more beneficial to rent some of the games being brought together.

The S-Gauge

The S-Gauge, an instrument that is used up when using character special abilities, is a power you depend upon when playing the game. There are different ways to increase the S-Gauge. One way to increase the gauge is by performing skills. Another way to increase the S-Gauge is to use an item (you can even use an item on yourself). The level will also raise when an enemy has been defeated. However, it should be noted that different characters use the S-Gauge differently. This is one of those times when it pays to take the necessary steps to familiarize yourself with character attributes.

Those Pesky Animation Effects

Sometimes the game gets slow and you want to skip over the animation effects. Pressing L2 will allow you skip these effects rather painlessly. If you don't like to watch the story unfold in front of you, you can press the triangle during the long and drawn out story points to get back to the action.

Realize

Each character has their own, uniquely powered up form called "realize". This state allows the character to take the form of some weapon and use it against the enemies. In order to enter realize form, the S-Gauge must be full (a good reason to know how to fill the S-Gauge). By knowing the different realize forms, you can combine different characters to make a powerful army that will defeat your enemies seamlessly.
