Harvest Moon: Magical Melody is a life simulation role playing game that is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB. It is a farming game where you go through life events (like marriage) and try to have a successful farm. It has both single and multiplayer game options. There are a few cheats and unlockables for the Gamecube, and this will tell you precisely what to do to get them in the game. This is part one of a two part article series.
30 Saves Note – When you go to your journal to save the game, save it and don’t exit. Just keep choosing yes over and over til you hit 30 and you will get your 30 Saves Happiness Note.
50 Finger Whistle Note – Go to your house. Press the R button 50 times so that you do the whistle and this will work whether your animal is near enough to hear you or not.
First Shipping Note – Go get a log or something lying around and get it to your shipping box. This is enough to get your First shipping note.
Getting Characters Unlocked
Henry – Go and plant three fruit trees to have him appear.
Dia and Gina – Go and ship 30 herbs to have Dia and Gina appear.
Duke, Doug, and Gwen – Go and attend the Spring Horse Race on Spring 17 and they appear.
Lyla – Get a flower and put in a blue shipping bin on Spring 22 in the square. Attend the flower festival and then she’ll appear.
Louis – On Summer 24 attend the fireworks festival. He will then appear in the town.
Maria – If you go to any of the festivals you will have her appear.
Ronald – Plant a fruit tree and he will appear.
Meryl – Be friends with Ronald and she will appear.
Tai and Tim – If you ship a copper, a silver, and a gold ore from the mine, they will appear.
Saibara – You need to ship one good clay to have Saibara appear.
Nami – On Summer 3 you need to attend the Swimming Ocean Festival. She will then appear.
Marrying in Harvest Moon
To marry successfully in the game will need you to give the receiver of your affection things that they like, here is a list to help you out.

Joe – Loves Stalks, Branches, and Fish
Katie – Loves Very Berry and Blueberries
Kurt – Loves Stalks, Braches, and Ores
