Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Unlockables and Collectibles

Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater added a camouflage element to the series. Along with that new element came dozens of collectibles that you'll want to find. Some of these great Metal Gear Solid 3 cheats will impress anyone that sees them:

The Snow face paint is in Bolshaya Past base, in a fox hole of the left of the middle building. The Water camo can also be found in this same area.

You’ll find the Desert face paint in the Ponizovje warehouse.

You can find the Oyama face paint in the air duct of the Graniny Gorky lab.

Look behind the building in Rassvet during the Snake Eater mission to find the Zombie face paint.

The Kabuki face paint is located in Tikhogornyj, at the bottom of the pool before the waterfall.

The Rain Drop camo is under the rope bridge in Dremuchij North.

The Splitter camo and the Chocolate Chip camo are both in Bolshaya Past south.

The Snow camo can be found right before the Pain in Peschera Cave.

The Ga-Ko camo is in Chyornyj Prud, underneath the water.

The Scientist uniform is given to you by Eva.

The Officer uniform can be stolen from Raikov.

You can get the Sneaking Suit uniform in the Groznyj Grad weapons lab, in the locker with the red stripe on the front.

The Fly camo is in the third bathroom stall on the second floor of Granin’s building. The door is locked so you’ll have to break it down.

Endure the Sorrow’s entire river to get the Spirit camo.

Complete every level in Snake vs. Monkeys to get the Monkey mask.

To get the Water face paint, after you fight the Fear, return to the beginning of Ponizovje South.

There are two ways to get the Infinity face paint. Either beat the game with the Foxhound rank, or complete a second, more complicated method. Catch a live Tsuchinoko before your torture scene. Afterward, once your weapons are returned to you, go back and capture it again. Finish the game with it alive.

Finally, to get the Santa, Mummy, and Grenade camouflages, you need to download them onto a memory card using a network adapter.

In Granin’s office, if you look around you’ll see a model of Metal Gear Rex from Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Ray from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and a model of Jehuty, a character from Hideo Kojima’s Zone of the Enders series.

If you kill Ocelot during your first encounter, you’ll get a game over screen that reads “Ocelot of Dead.” Colonel Campbell, from Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2, will then yell at Snake for creating a time paradox.

If you go into the survival viewer and spin Snake around repeatedly, it will cause him to vomit. You can also do this to Eva while you’re escorting her to the lake.

In the final duel with Ocelot, if you pick up the gun on the left and never shoot it, you’ll be treated to an extra scene in which Ocelot explains why you didn’t fire.

During the cut-scene where Snake puts Major Raikov into a locker, there’s a Metal Gear Solid 2 poster featuring Raiden on the locker door.

There are two times in the game where you can listen to people talk during their sleep. After your meeting with Granin, he locks you out of his office. However, you can still hang around and listen through the door as he mumbles in his sleep. Likewise, when you’re in the woods with Eva, you can knock her out with the tranquilizer gun and listen to her mumble on about Snake while she sleeps.

You can find several gaming magazines, such as Electronic Gaming Monthly, spread throughout the game. If you shoot these magazines, they will open to reveal a page about Snake Eater.

If you grab Eva and interrogate her, she’ll tell you about a code that involves “directions” but that she doesn’t remember the specifics. The code she’s referring to is the infamous Konami code.

During the fight with the Sorrow, if you take pictures of all of the dead bosses, including the Sorrow, the faces of the game developers will show up in the photos.
