By utilizing programs that are easy to use for your company, you allow for maximum productivity of all employees. Microsoft Project

Because Microsoft Project is one of the most widely used programs, it has volumes written on it. While there is a learning curve for this program, because of the easily accessible help, it is one of the easier programs to learn.

Because Microsoft manufactures this program, the compatibility features between other Microsoft programs are simple to utilize (i.e. exporting task lists to Microsoft Outlook, importing items from Excel, etc.).

TrackerSuite.Net
Another option is TrackerSuite.Net (http://www.TrackerSuite.Net), which actually offers bi-directional integration with Microsoft Project. If you'd like to give it a test drive, a free online demo is available.

Easy Online Project Management
I am a now using a simple online project management suite called ezEnterprise (www.ezenterprise.net). What I liked about it (other than free) is that it is hosted online and allows me to manage projects and tasks, notes, to-do's, issue and bug tracking, expense tracking, etc. It also allows me to upload documents and files to a central place to organize everything. It is a simple software package but packs a lot of features.

EasyProjectPlan not included in this article?
EasyProjectPlan (www.EasyProjectPlan.com) is one of the most used project software because it is also the easiest to use. Why was this not included?

MS project is easy?
I agree with Bertrand, I wouldn't call MS project an easy tool...

In my opinion, the new web-based pm solutions try to keep it as simple as possible (e.g. the ones Ronda mentioned and tools such as www.Zoho.com, www.getZCOPE.com, etc.).
